Voyager I travels @ 3.6 AU per year
1 AU = 93 million miles (distance from Earth to Sun)
93,000,000 ÷ 365 (days) = distance traveled per day @ 1 AU/year
254794 = distance traveled in miles per day @ 1 AU/year
254794 ÷ 24 (hours) = MPH traveled @ 1 AU/year = 10616 MPH
10616 x 3.6 (AU per year for Voyager I) = 38,219 MILES PER HOUR

If that were on Earth it would be roughly MACH 50.  Wowsies.

I am mad at myself right now.  See, working in the IT industry and more importantly the manufacturing side of the IT industry, I get to hear about possible purchases of new technology and/or the sale-distribution of that technology.  What is hot right now?  VOIP, LAN/WAN technologies, digital voting equipment, and aerospace defense platforms (which is exactly what I do for a job.  Remember the lasers?).  “So what’s the big deal?” you might ask… well working at a manufacturing firm I actually HEAR about these things at least 2 months in advance.  Hmmm….

Latest customer:  L-3 Communications a manufacturer of VOIP and LAN equipment.  Now, I heard about the possibility of us taking on a large order by them in early January, which we got.  Click the 6 month button. 

But I digress.  Want to make some big money in about 5 years?  Stick with your tride and true VOIP stocks.

Anyways, this post is boring and Cait’s is more interesting, read hers.

A week or so ago I went to my first baby shower. It was really fun! John’s mom came up on Friday and we went to Texas roadhouse and then all my Long Island relatives came in and we went to Kristy’s. Then on Saturday I ate breakfast with the family ladies and then we went to the shower.  It was really nice, the food was tastey and we got a TON of stuff!!

I love baby things and I love when both my sisters are in town.

Later that night we ate our way through 3 tony’s pizzas and played games. I’m not done writing my thankyous yet.

I finally had to go to Jury duty on monday morning…this was my third summons after all.  I got selected, I was Juror number 12 boooo.  I got there at 8:45 sat through lectures until 12:00 got randomly selected for the second jury selection pool and was picked as the last juror at 12:15.  Then we had an hour for lunch and then the trial began.  This guy Mr. Snow hit this other guy Mr. Headly in the head with a 2 foot ball ping hammer because Mr. Headly asked Mr. Snow to stop screaming profanities at little girls that were drawing with chalk on the street.   I sat through an eye witness and 3 police reports until 5 pm and then we were free to go.  Then I got there at 8:30 this morning and we sat in the jury room until 10.  Then they called us out and said Mr. Snow decided to plead guilty and we were free to go.  hm.

I get paid $40.00 a day for that.  I’m gonna go buy me a ball ping hammer.

Good.  One of the worst shows on TV.

Are your business surveillance cameras safe?  Nope, they sure aren’t.  Being in IT gives you some great knowledge on how to actually see those.  Pretty scary.

This is nothing new, I was doing it way back in middle school.  Just use an anonymous proxy (which are VERY easy to find).  Filters never work for the smart kid.  I can remember using cotse.com on a challenge by my PC systems teacher to see if i could bring up something “inappropriate” on any computer in the school.  I won, and didn’t get in trouble.

By the way, I finally beat the internet.  The last guy was pretty hard.

Sometimes the baby kicks so hard that you can see my stomach contort.

We have the baby shower on saturday and then John and I leave early sunday to go see the Mets play the Braves, the tickets were John’s birthday gift.

My little runt of a Beagle jumped over a 3.5 ft fence this morning and the other day he jumped from the floor to the top of our kitchen table in one bound.  Beagles are supposed to be fat and lazy.

My mother and I just stained our upper deck and the deck around the pool.  I think if I didn’t move for the rest of the night it would be okay. I think maybe if I didn’t move for the rest of my life that would be okay too.

I am 30 weeks pregnant this week.   Crazy.
