Lately we’ve figured out that Dominic likes to have lotion put on him, and we’re suspecting it is because he likes it when we softly rub his skin. Tonight at Applebee’s (the last time we went out was about a month ago to Johnny Carino’s) we were excited about being able to eat out and enjoy some different food. Dominic was very, very excited about being out, and was incredibly rambunctious. Thinking we could quickly calm him down, Caitlin grabbed a bottle of lotion from his diaper bag and started to rub it on his arm. He started to calm down very well, and was even taking little bits from her hand and rubbing it on his hands as well.
Fast forward about 5 minutes. He begins to be rambunctious again, so Caitlin grabs the lotion again and start to put it on his arm. He’s calming down - or so we think. He instantly grabs the bottle of lotion (it was a squeeze bottle, I might add) in a ferocious spurt of strength, rips it out of Caitlin’s hands, and SQUEEZES the bottle and it shoots EVERYWHERE… all over the booth, the table, his face, his hands… everywhere. I’m talking one gigantic gobbly goo of mess all over our booth.
All of us laughed hysterically, even the goo covered boy.

Dominic can say “ball” now… alot… because “ball” is his favorite toy. He’s said ball at least 50 times this morning.
