Cisco partners with the Yankees

All of you know my beloved dislove of the Yankees, but hey:

“That brave new world includes putting in 1,100 video screens throughout the stadium, beginning with box seats and in the team’s locker room. Bleacher creatures will also get their due in the near future, Ricci said. And, oh yeah, the screens will also be in restrooms.”

Here’s to hoping Cisco telepresence isn’t enabled for the screens above the urinals!  What would be even more awesome is if they installed Cisco’s wireless access points that are dual band, making your Iphone and other dual band capable phones free to use inside the stadium vicinity.

I spent this entire past weekend working because a repartitioning of our primary Active Directory server failed and corrupted the AD database, bringing down faxing/voicemail/authentication/backups/trunking/websites/webmail/email etc.  Crap.  It was not fun.  Thankfully though I have an understanding wife who was willing to give me up for the weekend.  Afterwards, I think my office needs a cleaning.

For you techies out there here are my notes from this weekend not including all the Cisco work I had to perform (this is just the Active Directory work)disaster.txt
